He can turn a handkerchief into a wand, make a beer bottle disappear into thin air, or transport a playing card across a room without even touching it.


Just don't ask noted mentalist and magician Tony Chris how he does it.


"When people ask, 'How do you that?' I respond with 'Very well, I thought,'" he said.
 

That tongue-in-cheek approach, combined with a keen knack for sleight of hand, helped the 44-year-old Coquitlam resident win a gold medal at the recent Pacific Coast Association of Magicians convention in Seattle.
